Dr. Alyna T. Chien

Advisory Board Member

Dr. Alyna T. Chien is a pediatrician, researcher, and healthcare policy expert. She serves as Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and practices at Boston Children's Hospital.


Her work focuses on healthcare quality, health equity, and improving outcomes for children and families, particularly those from underserved communities. Dr. Chien's research examines how healthcare systems, policies, and payment models can improve access to care and patient outcomes.


Before entering medicine, she spent several years working in community-based direct service, an experience that continues to inform her approach to healthcare and research. She has contributed to a range of national initiatives related to pediatric healthcare, healthcare disparities, and health system improvement.


Dr. Chien earned her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed advanced training through the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program. She has authored numerous publications on pediatric healthcare quality, care delivery, and health policy.
