Dr. Satish Tripathi

Satish Tripathi, has 25 years of experience as a global strategist in the biopharmaceutical industry. In his expansive career, he has led large teams and collaborated with thought leaders from academia, government, and healthcare companies in US, Europe, Canada, India, Australia and Japan.
Dr Tripathi is currently the principal consultant, president and CEO of Biomedical Consulting International Inc. in Chicago, IL. In the past, Satish has worked in leadership roles at AveXis (a Novartis company), iVeric Bio, Roche-Genentech, Johnson & Johnson, Syneos Health, Pfizer Inc., Baxter Healthcare Corporation, and the United States Food and Drug Administration.
Satish has been responsible for development of global regulatory strategy for development of new drugs and biologics covering areas such as pharmacology, toxicology, pharmacokinetics, clinical safety and efficacy. Additionally, he has consulted on clinical trial design and feasibility at country and site levels, along with due diligence on licensing opportunities for pharmaceutical companies.
Satish has a doctorate degree in cell biology from University of Glasgow, UKand a master’s degree in public health from Columbia University, New York. He received bachelor’s in biology and master’s in Botany from Jiwaji University, Gwalior and M. Phil. In Genetics from Bhopal University, Bhopal, India.
As a significant contributor to the areas of drug development and global regulator strategy, drug safety and risk management, Satish has facilitated the development and worldwide registration of a variety of new medicines in the categories of gene therapy (neurology), oncology, hematology, pulmonary, endocrinology, infectious diseases, urology, anticoagulative therapy and diagnostic contrast agents for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
Satish’s 14 years of research and over 25 years of work on drug development, find their place in over 40 manuscripts, reviews, and conference abstracts.
Satish’s love for teaching began in his early years in India where he taught masters’ students at Bhopal University, and Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi University, both in Madhya Pradesh. He later mentored undergraduate research assistants at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and medical students at University of Glasgow.
Dr Tripathi’s goal to enable equal education for all and create community healthcare awareness led to him founding the non-profit Ek Kadam Aur (One Step Forward) - an initiative that works toward enhancing the future prospects and well-being of lesser privileged students in India and Nepal.
