Luis Gallegos
Advisory Board Member
Ambassador Luis Gallegos is a member of the Board of Advisors at Ek Kadam Aur. He serves as the President of the Board of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the Global Initiative for Inclusive Information and Communication Technologies (G3ICT). Additionally, he is President of the Advisory Committee of the Institute of Public Policy and Disability, Senior Advisor of the Harvard Disability Project, and Advisor of Corpei, Ecuador.
Mr Gallegos was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ecuador during 2020-2021. During his diplomatic career, he served as an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, acting as the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Ecuador to the United Nations in New York and Geneva. Mr Gallegos has received numerous state decorations, recognitions, and awards, including the highest Ecuadorian decoration in 2011 for his significant contributions to his country. He is acknowledged for his work in the areas of human rights and disabilities. Mr Gallegos is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Global UN Partnership for Inclusive Information and Communication Technologies.
Mr Gallegos obtained a Juris Doctor Degree from the Central University of Ecuador, and a Master of Arts Degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
