Shree Ram Mittal, PhD

Dr. Shree Ram Mittal was a Professor at the Central Institute of Education (CIE), University of Delhi. Prior to CIE, he was a Professor at Jamia Milia Islamia University, Delhi and taught at the National Institute for the Empowerment of the Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD), Dehradun, India. He is an expert on Education of Children with Visual Impairment.

Professor Mittal served as the Chairman of the sub-committee of experts at Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI); as the Vice-chairman, Academic Council, NIEPVD, Dehradun; and a member of Braille Council of India and Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government. of India. Professor Mittal was also a member of the Board of Studies within the Department. of Education, Uttarakhand Technical University and the Chairman of the Empowered Committee on Disability; and as a country delegate on the West Asia Regional Committee on the International Council for Education of Visual Impairment (ICEVI).

Dr. Mittal received a Master’s in education from Delhi University and a Ph.D. from H.N. Bahuguna Garhwal University, Uttarakhand, India.
